How do I change the due date on a task?
There are two different types of task with different methods for changing their due dates.
There are two different types of task that might require you to change the due date:
- Manually created, one-off tasks generated by you
- Recurring system-generated tasks
To change the date on a manually created one-off task, you need to be the creator. If you are the creator you can take the following steps to change the date on your task:
- Navigate to the Work module.
- Find and open the task you are the requestor for and want to change the due date of.
- Click on the Due Date field.
- Enter or use the Date Picker to select the new Due Date.
- Click anywhere outside the Due Date field to save your change.
To change a recurring system-generated task you will need to delete the current task and recreate it with the new due date. Our product and engineering teams are working to enrich this feature to allow a user to provide a new due date for the existing and future tasks, but until that time you will need to delete and recreate the task manually.
