What's New? | Botkeeper

[LIVE] August 28 Update

The portal never stops getting better. Here are the updates as of August 28, 2023.

SMART CONNECT

Disconnected Accounts

When an account becomes disconnected, it will now display one of the following on the impacted account line:

  • Disconnected - User Action Required; or
  • Disconnected - No User Action Required

If Disconnected - User Action Required displays on an account line, hover over the alert to see what action is required to reconnect the account.

If Disconnected - No User Action Required displays on an account line, the connection owner does not have any action they need to take.  Botkeeper will work to rectify the issue. If the connection cannot be re-established, Botkeeper will assign a task request to the point of contact identified in the Bank Statement field of the services tab of the scoping tool, for them to upload the month-end statement for reconciliation purposes.

AutoPush Icon

Accounts connected to AutoPush now display an AutoPush icon inline with the financial institution name. Upon expanding the financial institution line, any account in that financial institution connected to Smart Connect will be identified with the same icon.

PORTAL MANAGER

Users assigned to multiple entities

When adding a new user to an entity, Portal Manager will now display a popup list of which (if any) other entities that user already has access to, and confirm you still want to add them to another entity.

Partner Admins notified of new users added to the portal

Portal Manager will now notify partner admin users via email of partner and client users being invited to their firm portal. This notification will include the email of the invited user and their user role.

Role type definitions

A new tooltip will describe each role type you can choose from when inviting a new user to the portal:

  • Partner Admin
Has the highest level of access to manage the firm and client's data and BOS features.
  • Partner Ops
Can view, invite, and manage Partner Ops, Client Admin, and Client Ops roles. Has access to same BOS features as Partner Admin except Partner Ops can’t delete a task, deactivate users, edit partner details, upload partner branding or reset 2FA.
  • Client Admin
Has the highest level of access to manage their entity. Client user roles don’t see the names of Botkeeper service providers or any other content that links back to Botkeeper.
  • Client Ops
Has same permissions as Client Admin except Client Ops can’t manage users or view other user’s tasks. Client user roles don’t see the names of Botkeeper service providers or any other content that links back to Botkeeper.

WORK

Reassign tasks once or permanently.
You can now choose to reassign recurring tasks once, or permanently.

Document upload requests now have only one task type
Documents were previously identified by two different types of task: "specified," and "unspecified." Users will now simply receive a request to upload a document. The information requested with the upload will change based on the target folder for the document.

RESOURCE CENTER

We've made the resource center even easier to use by matching it to our knowledge base, and are adding a section of "How To"s (coming soon).

TRANSACTION MANAGER

AutoPush Confidence Level Filter added:
On both the “Needs Review" and “Processed” tabs, you can now filter transactions based on their AutoPush confidence levels:

  • High         98% and greater
  • Medium    90% through 97.99%
  • Low           0% through 89.99%

Transaction State Filter added:
You can also filter them based on whether they are Bank Feed or General Ledger on the "Needs Review" and "Processed" tabs.

Added "Uncategorized Accounts" setting:

The "Uncategorized Accounts" setting allows you to exclude accounts from machine learning to help improve the accuracy of your future automated transaction categorizations.
