Dustin Wheeler, CPA

Chief Financial Officer & Director of Tax Strategies, Andina Advisors

Dustin is the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Tax Strategies at Andina Advisors, a family office and investment advisory firm.  He joined Andina Advisors after nearly two decades of experience in public accounting. He spent many years delving into the intricate world of tax for high net worth individuals and business entities. He has a particular interest in technologies that help automate and organize financial information. He's constantly experimenting with new tools and gadgets, trying to find that perfect blend of efficiency and human touch. With an extreme amount of patience and a methodical approach, he gets joy out of explaining complex financial situations that can be understood by all.

Dustin has written software reviews for the CPA Practice Advisor, a national magazine that educates accounting professionals in the area of technology, and was honored in its 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 list of 40 under 40 tax and accounting profession leaders.

Dustin holds a Bachelor's of Accounting degree from BYU-Idaho and a Master's of Accountancy degree from UNLV. He is a Certified Public Accountant with licenses in Utah and Nevada.

Despite being of average height and too slow to be a prime example of how to execute a fast break, Dustin enjoys playing basketball with friends. In a shining moment, he once tallied 9 points in a rec league game. Though he'll never grace the grand stages of Carnegie Hall, he plays piano in his free time. He also played saxophone and percussion in school bands. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.

Dustin is constantly experimenting with new tools and gadgets, trying to find that perfect blend of efficiency and human touch.
